The universal drilling jig is designed for precise and productive hand pegging of furniture parts. You will achieve high accuracy and productivity. The individual hole positions are designed with a spacing of 32mm, which corresponds to the standard Euro standard for machine pegging of parts. The tool is designed for use with our HM carbide tipped drill bits, which are clamped in the drill sleeve using the same system as the drill bit.

Precision and simplicity when drilling pins
The drilling jig automatically produces a precise corner joint with a 0.5mm chamfer. End stops
of the fixture ensure the alignment of the parts to be joined from the front or back side.

Both pins and confirmations can be produced by simply changing the drill bits in the drill sleeve.

Drilling of confirmations
Thanks to the selectable drill bit diameter, it is possible to drill holes for confirmations or a combined connection of pins and confirmations. For the production of the confirmation joint, it will be necessary to purchase the FKP102 drilling spindle (optional accessory), which has an extended stroke and can clamp 70mm pin drills. Confirmations are drilled in the same way as pins, in two operations. Firstly, drill holes in the surface that are through and 7mm in diameter. Then, according to the length of the used confirmation (the range is 40mm - 60mm), holes are drilled into the edge with a diameter of 5mm. By dividing the drilling into two operations, it is possible to easily produce a combined joint with pins and confirmations. In this case, we recommend using multiple drill spindles with individual dowel drill bits. The production of the joint is fast and precise, with a professional effect.

The drill spindle replaces the now largely obsolete and laborious system of hardened steel bushings and cheap steel drill bits, which really only last a few holes in the laminate.

The jig can clamp material widths from 18mm to 45mm, which you will appreciate especially when working with solid wood. The centres of the holes are at a distance of 9mm from the inner edge of the jig. The unique drilling spindle allows the use of different diameters of HM dowel drill bits from 3mm to 12mm. Thanks to the easy change of the drill bit diameter, you can drill holes not only for pins, but also for fasteners, handles, NK hinges, shelf supports, screws and Euro screws.
