The universal drilling dowelling template is designed for precise and productive manual dowelling of furniture parts into a surface with a Euro pitch of 32mm, for drilling holes for shelf carriers with a diameter of 3 and 5mm, for drilling holes for handles, for drilling and marking holes for NK hinges. FKP900 contains templates for pre-drilling holes of the most used NK hinges. With the FKP900 template, you can make holes for Euro screws or hinge washer screws on the body part, as well as pre-drill holes for the hinge on the door, including marking the centre of the NK hinge bowl. With the FKP900 you achieve high precision and productivity in the workshop and on the assembly line. The template is designed for use with the FKP101 drilling spindle, which can accommodate drill bits of various diameters from 3mm to 12mm.
The dowel template has integrated templates for shelf supports and NK hinges.
Working with the template is very fast. Set the drilling depth on the drill spindle and clamp it to your drill. Place the tool on the board, put it on the holds and clamp it or just hold it firmly with your other hand. Thanks to the pin drill with guide tip and pre-cuts, you can drill holes easily, precisely and without burrs on the edge of the hole. It's just simple and very fast.
Drilling of handles
Drilling the holes for the handles is fast and precise. Thanks to the wide range of holes for stops and the 32mm spacing between the holes for the drill sleeve in the main row, you can create precise holes in the workshop, on the assembly and on the hinged door. After inserting the stop into the template and placing it on the door, drill the holes in the required spacing, which is based on the European standard of 32mm (the spacing of the screws is in multiples of 32mm). For easy drilling of the holes for the handles of the right and left side doors, the template is equipped with mirror-image holes for the stops. A 5mm drill bit is used for drilling.
Holes for NK hinges
Depending on the type of NK hinge you are using, you select the appropriate hole set (screw pitch and offset to the centre of the bowl, e.g. 45/9mm) and select the drill diameter for the screws or euro-screws. After inserting the stop into the template and placing it on the part, drill the holes and mark the centre of the hinge bowl with the tip. The hole for the NK hinge is drilled with a threaded rod after removing the template from the part. Thanks to the template, the holes created in this way are at the exact spacing, at the exact angle and at the desired distance of 3 - 6mm from the edge.
Holes for shelf supports
For drilling the shelf supports you use the main row of holes with a spacing of 32mm. The stops help you to align the template precisely and place it at the desired distance to the edge. The holes for the supports are drilled 3mm or 5mm in diameter, depending on the tip used. A great advantage is the possibility of drilling multiple holes in one row on one clamping fixture. The template is an ideal tool for assembly and also production.
