Product detailed description
Japanese Dozuki hand saws have particularly thin saw blades and very fine teeth. These hand saws are used for the finest cross cuts. Dozuki saws are used for precision mitre joints. The blades have a reinforced spine which ensures sufficient stability of the blade, which is sometimes only 0.3 mm thick.
The cross-cut teeth are ground into a trapezoid (so-called diamond cut) and cut the fibre like a razor blade. The last tooth is always parallel with a small flat at the end of the saw blade for fine finishing of the cut.
Handle - lightweight balsa for a comfortable and grippy hold.
- blade length - 240 mm
- blade thickness - 0,30 mm
- width of cut - 0,3 mm
- number of teeth - 22 TPI (number of teeth per inch)
Recommended for: harder/softest woods, very fine saw cuts, the most precise finish possible, detail work.
Not recommended for: quick wood removal, rough wood work.
