Product detailed description
Japanese Ryoba hand saws are easily recognizable by the blade, which is ground on both sides. One side for a clean cross cut and the other side for a longitudinal cut.
The teeth of the saw on the longitudinal cutting side are triangular in shape and gradually increase in spacing from the handle. This design makes the saw easier to cut into the material and the larger teeth subsequently take care of the cutting speed.
The cross-cut teeth are ground into a trapezoid (so-called diamond cut) and cut the fibre like a razor blade. The last tooth is always parallel with a small flat at the end of the saw blade for fine finishing of the cut.
Fish come in many sizes with different specifications. The Ryoba saw can be used for the finest cuts up to carpentry work. Carefully select the size, blade thickness and number of teeth according to the predominant intended use.
Precision blades made of premium Japanese SK-85 steel, hardened to 58 HRC and induction hardened teeth to 71 HRC.
