Japanese carpentry saw Kataba 200 mm - Shark Saw

Japanese saws, unlike European saws, cut by pull and not by pressure. "Kataba" translates from Japanese as "cutting on one side". Pkataba saws are commonly used for larger and deeper cuts and therefore have teeth on only one side.

Precision blades made from premium Japanese SK-85 tool steel, hardened to 58 HRC and induction hardened teeth to 71 HRC.

Handle - lightweight balsa wrapped with rattan for comfort and grip.

The number of teeth makes it one of the most balanced universal saws.

Recommended for: a wide range of wood hardnesses except for the hardest woods, general woodworking.

Not recommended for: hard woods, very fine saw cuts.
