Mafell - the DDF 40 double pinning system brings greater economy and efficiency when drilling precision holes.Compared to the original version(or thicker version) it has a flat base. This simplifies drilling from the surface or into the edge of the workpiece. The patented system of twin stop pins (original design from the Festool Domino DF 500) in the base plate can produce holes on the workpiece at a distance of 15.5 mm, allowing repeated drilling without measuring and features.

The base plate includes side seating surfaces. Therefore, drilling can be set with a fixed distance from 49mm.The drilling height on the rotary stop can be adjusted by means of a rotary wheel and scale up to a height of 62 mm. The preset dimensions can be adjusted using the turret stop. The rotary stop is guided on both sides and is fixed with one adjusting screw. For angled connections, it provides infinite adjustment from 0 to 90 degrees. The raster is preset for angles of 22.5°, 45° and 67.5°.

With depth stops "1" and "2" two different drilling depths can be set.Thanks to the rotary wheel, you can preset the depths. In addition, the wheel offers a position for changing drill bits where the switch is automatically blocked.
