Deep shine and long-lasting protection

SELDER Golvolja linseed oil gives wood floors a deep shine that cannot be achieved with synthetic oils or waxes. The impregnated layer lasts for decades and damage can be easily repaired by sanding and reapplying oil. Shiny streaks from wear can be unified by polishing with a little oil.

SELDER flaxseed oils break the myths associated with traditional flaxseed oils:

  1. Short drying time: the SELDER dries quickly (1 day at 20 °C) thanks to the removal of antioxidants, without the need for the addition of drying agents.

  2. No permanent yellowing: SELDER has removed the beta-carotene, so the painted wood does not yellow permanently, although it may darken temporarily and then fade.

  3. No paint chalking: SELDER eliminates chalking and white spotting by removing saturated fatty acids and wax.

  4. Fungicide-free: SELDER protects wood against rot naturally and there is no need to add fungicides.

  5. Solvent and dryer free: SELDER produces pure linseed oil without additives, suitable for a wide range of applications from wood impregnation to corrosion protection of metals.

How to use linseed floor oil?

  1. Sand the floor with sandpaper with a minimum grit of 180 grit.
  2. Heat the oil to 130 °C and apply with a natural bristle brush.
  3. Spread the oil from the places where it remains standing to the places that absorb it.
  4. Rub the remaining oil into the floor using a 120 and 320 grit sanding pad.
  5. After 20-30 minutes, wipe off any residual oil.
  6. Dry the floor oil for about one day at 20 °C with sufficient ventilation.
  7. For a glossy look, polish the floor the next day with an abrasive pad with gradually increasing grit.
  8. Clean floors treated with linseed oil only with water, neutral or acid detergents.

SELDER linseed oil is free of solvents, drying agents and additives, providing optimum protection for floors without negative effects."
