Deep shine and long-lasting protection

SELDER Golvolja linseed oil gives wood floors a deep shine that cannot be achieved with synthetic oils or waxes. The impregnated layer lasts for decades and damage can be easily repaired by sanding and reapplying the oil. Shiny streaks from wear can be unified by polishing with a little oil.

SELDER Flax Oils break the myths associated with traditional linseed oils:

  1. Short drying time: SELDER dries quickly (1 day at 20°C) due to the removal of antioxidants, without the need for added drying agents.

  2. No permanent yellowing: SELDER has removed the beta-carotene, so painted wood will not permanently yellow, although it may temporarily darken and then fade.

  3. No chalking: SELDER eliminates chalking and white spotting by removing saturated fatty acids and wax.

  4. No fungicides: SELDER protects wood from rot naturally and there is no need to add fungicides.

  5. Solvent and dryer free: SELDER produces pure linseed oil without additives, suitable for a wide range of applications from wood preservation to corrosion protection of metals.

How to use linseed floor oil?

  1. Sand the floor with a minimum 180 grit sandpaper.
  2. Heat the oil to 130°F and apply with a natural bristle brush.
  3. Spread the oil from areas where it remains standing to areas that absorb it.
  4. Wipe the remaining oil into the floor with a 120 and 320 grit sanding pad.
  5. After 20-30 minutes, wipe off any residual oil.
  6. Dry the floor oil for about one day at 20°C with sufficient ventilation.
  7. For a glossy appearance, polish the floor the next day with a sanding pad of gradually increasing grit.
  8. Clean floors treated with linseed oil only with water, neutral or acid detergents.

SELDER linseed oil is free of solvents, drying agents and additives, providing optimum protection for floors without negative effects."
