• Ingredients: saturated solution of shellac flakes in 99.5% isopropanol.

How to use SELDER Shellac

• Pour a small amount into a disposable container. Use an inexpensive brush - containers and brushes cannot be washed.
• Spread shellac evenly over the knots and resin pockets in the wood.
• Allow to dry for 30-60 minutes.

For shellac, only 99.5% alcohol can be used as a thinner. Weaker alcohol, such as 96% alcohol, contains water that remains in the wood when the alcohol evaporates and the shellac solidifies. The water creates pores through which the resin seeps.
