CMT | Saw blades for cross cutting ø 160 mm

Product detailed description
The number of teeth, their shape and the angle of the saw blade tooth face determines which material the blade is suitable for and the quality of the cut.
These are saw blades for final cross cuts. Designed for cutting softwood, hardwood, exotic wood and wood-based materials (plywood, OSB, etc.).
The alternating helical tooth (designation WZ or ATB) is the most suitable option for cutting solid wood. The teeth of the blade are regularly ground alternately to the right and left, which ensures high cutting performance. The alternate helical tooth is not suitable for cutting grooves.
The height of the blade extension influences the geometry of the cut and thus its quality. The ideal is to extend the blade by the height of the SK tooth slice above the material to be cut, which should guarantee a really clean and smooth cut, as this will give you the greatest number of teeth in the cut. A side benefit can be that in case of any accident the disc will not cut into you completely.
However, sometimes it is necessary to cut longitudinally with the cross-cutting blade and it is necessary to extend the blade to the maximum cut (the minimum number of teeth, often only two in the case of weak materials) and thus the blade better removes the chips from the cut and thus a longitudinal cut can be made.

- Hand circular saws. (Festool
Type and geometry of teeth:
